Batting Cleanup

I choked on my philly cheesesteak at Beef O’ Brady’s. Not cool.

*insert fat joke about Prince knowing a lot about philly cheesesteaks here because I feel bad inserting one myself*

While I’m sad that this means Casey “The Magic Kotch” Kotchman is probably not returning to Tampa, I am excited to see a familiar face back in a Rays uniform. He has a solid glove at first (although Kotch’s was outstanding too), he has power, and is a fair producer of RBI. His batting average has been low for the past few seasons, but more and more that stat seems to be obsolete. There is also the leadership qualities of Pena that can fill the void of Damon and add to the leadership of guys like Longoria and Shields.

All in all, I am gladly welcoming back that beautiful smile and those adorable dimples.
